Brad: Did John write any code in his 4 years here? I just want to see if he got B.S. CS, Freloading Minor or B.S. CS, B.A. Freeloading
When one gives the impression that they'll be endorsing or working for a newer independent company, but at the last minute takes a check and signs with a larger already well-established one. The expression combines Drake, a popular hip hop artist, and Apple Music, which many rumor Drake signed with at the last minute snubbing Jay Z and his "startup" Tidal, which many are now presuming to fail.
Leona gave the impression that she'd be joining our startup as the new CTO, but at the last minute she pulled a Drapple Music Switch and ended up taking a job at Google X instead.

Going to someone who has a record of creating terrible startups and asking him or her if it's a good idea. If he or she says it's a good idea, it's probably an incredibly shitty one. The inverse is also true.
I perform the shit idea test on Ryan whenever I need to gauge whether to hack on a new app or not, just so I know what I'm getting into beforehand. Of course he doesn't know I'm performing it on him.

Netfilx is a startup unicorn with a low price product, clear message, and high user satisfaction.
The Timid Sales Rep is completely honest about the SAAS product he is selling, not pushy and never raising his voice. He also misses quota most of the time.
Sales Rep: How did I do on that call?
Sales manager: Why the hell were you speaking so softly? Also I know the base package only allows 10 users but you need to kludge it a little. Just tell them 15 to close the deal.
A phenomenon in which over 75% of female avatars online or in games are men just pretending to be women to get attention.
I used to take advantage of the Fake Female Avatar Phenomenon when pretending to be a female orc on World of Warcraft. Desperate guys would give me gold and help me pay for college because of the stories I'd feed them.

A trend among SV developers to make apps that perform it's function in a simple button press. Many hold the belief that if you can't do your apps function in one button, it doesn't pass the test for a powerful app in todays age. Whether that's true or not is a completely different story.
Antonio: Yo is such a great one button app. I can send you Yo's anytime with the press of a single button.
Zeeshan: Yo, stop sending me yo's.

Instead of buying a nice watch or a super car, rich people in Silicon Valley will flaunt either their title, such as early engineer at Twitter or their star investors, such as Andreessen Horowitz, because it implies they have a lot of money.

The propensity for anyone born after 2000 to touch the screen of any electronic device (thinking it's like an IPad or IPhone)
I gave my nephew the IPod 1 and it took him 10 minutes to figure out how to move through the songs and navigate it. He had the auto-touch reflex where he kept touching the screen to pick the song, until later he found out the wheel on the bottom was the only way.

A voting ring is when you get people you know to upvote things for you on popular websites that use upvotes such as Hacker News and Reddit rather than waiting for organic upvotes. This is done to game the ranking algorithms of these websites and make your content appear at the top so others are able to see it.
Wow. I got shadow banned from Reddit when I got caught in a voting ring as a result of asking everyone I know on Facebook to upvote my post.
LOL @GoogleEngineer, I'm assuming by Ryan, you're talking about Ryan hoover?
